Round 2 Write Up

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Game week 2.

I constantly spam a lot of you to keep up to date with FPL. Those who don’t have the pleasure of being harassed by me telling you to do something or to read something, remember to jump on here every Friday at 5pm for a write up.

Game week 1 started with a bang, lots of goals, lots of great games, lots of points. A Fernandes masterclass and a good performance from Salah saw 37 points scored between them. While Danny Ings, Wilson and Benrhama all proved to be good selections for those who were sitting on the fence about them.

Arsenal turned up with what looked like their youth team to face the Bee’s. The Bee’s stung Arsenal with 2 goals which sent Arsenal into anaphylaxis. The most exciting game saw Westham and Newcastle play out a 6 goal thriller with Westham taking all 3 points with a 4-2 win. The weekend finished with Son scoring a classy goal to beat those light blue wankers in a Mourinho-esque defence masterclass. Nuno off to a great start as manager of Spurs.

There are 9 players in the league who scored 100+ points, which is remarkable. The winner of the round was Steve Morrissey managing the Morrissey’s Muppets scoring a whopping 116 points. While my uncle Michael is at the bottom of the league on 28 points, last year Michael came towards the bottom of the league and I have a feeling he will again. He’s a much better pilot then he is a FPL player otherwise he’d be flying for Malaysian Airlines.

It’s interesting to see the movement in the FPL transfer in and out market. The top 3 most transferred in were Pogba, Fernandes, Lakaku, while the most transferred out were Kane, Maddison and Saka. The most captained player of the round was Salah and the average points scored was 69 points, dinner for 2.

Game week 2 is another exciting week for those who have Fernandes and Salah, United have Southampton away and Liverpool have Burnley at home. While the London derby is on Monday morning between Arsenal and Chelsea, the best looking game of the round is West Ham playing Leicester, both top 6 contenders. Arsenal isn’t by the way, just to clear that up.

Over the next few weeks the league will start to shape up so it’s best to start thinking about what’s ahead. There is an international break appearing soon with lots of FPL Managers worried their players will be stuck in quarantine on their return OR will be too tired to play for their club.

We will just have to wait and see.

We wish everyone best of luck in the next game week.

Peace,

JG.
